December Meeting Reminder
Our December Meeting, which doubles as our Christmas Mixer, will be Tuesday, December 2nd at 8pm in Calcott Room 003. Come out and join us!
Please bring along a $5 gift, wrapped or in a bag, to participate in the gift exchange.
Food and drinks will be provided, though y'all are always welcomed to bring along any treats you'd like to share. =D

November Meeting Recap
Thank you to those of you who came out to the November meeting. An additional thanks to everyone who contributed stocking stuffers. We were able to fill 15 stockings for the Salvation Army. So good job everyone!
This Saturday (November 15th), some of our members will be going to the University of Georgia's culture show "Night in Saigon." For those of you that are going, please be sure to contact the driver of the carpool you will be in. Also, remember to chip in for gas money... times are tough, so we all have to help out. =) The show will be at the Oconee County Civic Center in Watkinsville, GA. It starts promptly at 6:30pm so be on time! Admissions is $9 and includes a dinner consisting of a variety of Vietnamese food.

VSA Bake Sale for Adopt-a-Family
-Monday, Oct 20 from 11am-2pm on Greene St. in front of Russell House
-Please drop off your baked goods to the table or contact an officer to arrange a drop off/pick up time. Remember, we are raising money for our Adopt-a-Family family, so please contribute if you can.
VSA Social
-Tuesday, Oct 21 from 8-10pm
-We will either go rollerskating, to a haunted house, or have a movie night. The final plan will be decided by the end of this week.
Fund Raiser Halloween Party
-Friday, Oct 31 at 8pm at Long's House (please email uscvsa@gmail for directions)
-This is a COSTUME party. Please dress up! Also, we will be collecting donations for the Bloomingdale Library Rape Victim throughout the night. The goal is to reach $100 in donations. If this goal is met, our president will match the $100 in donations.

-Please bring stocking stuffers (small toys, games, books, etc.) to the Nov. 5th meeting. We will stuff the stockings together as a group, then turn them into the Student Government office to be given to the Salvation Army.

Charity Poker Tournament
-Saturday, Nov 8 in the Russell House Ballroom; the time is TBD
-We still need volunteers to be dealers. Please let us know if you are willing to volunteer. You will be trained so no knowledge of the game is required... we'll teach you!

-Saturday, Nov 15 at 6pm at the Oconee County Civic Center in Watkinsville, GA
-We need a final count of who is going by the Nov 5th meeting. Please be at the meeting or let an officer know if you are going. We also need people to volunteer to drive there. Carpooling assignments will be made at the Nov 5th meeting as well.

General Members' Meeting Reminder
Our October meeting will be Tuesday, October 14th in Calcott room 102 at 8pm. Calcott is the building right behind the Russell House, next to the Thompson Health Center. We have a lot of events and activities coming up, so join us for some refreshments, mingling and learn what we have in the works.
Anyone who would like to become an official member and has yet to pay their fees can do so at the meeting. It is a $30 fee for the year and includes this year's AWESOME t-shirt.

Upcoming Events
Thank you to everyone who came to tonight's Spring Roll & Game Night social. The turnout was great! I hope everyone had fun and enjoyed the food. We have a few upcoming events within the next week or two. Here's a little reminder:

-Please bring side snacks (chips, fruit, etc.), we'll provide the main stuff.
